Topic: Trados / XTM issue with importing XLIFF files

Post title: Partially solved
Alright, found out what's going on. Apparently Trados randomly encodes XLIFF file to ANSI instead of the original UTF-8 encoding, and that throws XTM off. Does on certain files, not on others. Haven't found yet what's the trigger.
Solution: Once the XLIFF files have been finalized, open them with PSPad ( [url removed] , freeware editor), change the encoding to UTF-8, save and voilà. XTM likes them again.
